Professional Experience

Alan’s particular skills as a SCORE counselor are derived from three key areas of experience:

  • His legal training and background, particularly with major manufacturing and marketing companies in the consumer product field.
  • His experience on both sides of the franchisor/franchisee relationship, enabling him to advise those considering entering into a franchise needing to understand all of the issues and concerns they may encounter.
  • His experience in managing relatively complex financial arrangements, and particularly in developing and arranging sources of capital, through both lenders and investors.

Alan has demonstrated superior skills in thnking and plannning analytically, in identifying potential resources, and in fostering the development of useful and productive relationships between SCORE clients and sources of assistance and help.
